Sundays

Every Sunday the Body of Christ known as Trinity Community Church, UCC gathers at 10 am to sing praises, listen and grow from the words of scripture, and share joys and concerns as a Christian community of faith. Worship is a mix of traditional and contemporary elements. Whether it is a regular Sunday, a special Sunday (Easter Sunday, Memorial Sunday, etc.), or a Youth Led Worship Experience, each includes the participation of many voices, including the voices of the congregation, the choir, the children during Children's Time, the Liturgist, and the Pastors. At Trinity Community Church, UCC the worship format is a continual work in progress, ever changing and never set in stone. Organized by the Pastors with input from the Board of Deacons, the choir, and other church members, Sunday worship reflects the needs of the congregation and the larger community. Periodically through the year we may also have youth planned and led worship experiences where the voice of the youth create a worship experience for all to enjoy that reflects their particular spiritual needs.

We encourage you visit Trinity Community Church and experience our form of worship. Please arrive about 10 minutes before the service starts so you can grab a bulletin and sit wherever you wish and listen to the music. The Sanctuary features wheelchair accessible space on both sides of the aisle. Our Pastor preaches a Bible-based message with a practical application to help you live out your faith during the week.  Typically, on the first Sunday of each month, we celebrate communion, but there’s no pressure to participate if you don’t want to, or, on the other hand, anyone may celebrate no matter your faith or church membership.  Services are usually an hour, and then you’re welcome to hang out and talk with people afterwards while you grab a cup of coffee/tea and a snack.

What to Expect on Sunday

Sunday School

All children age 3 - 7th grade are invited to participate in our free Sunday School. Children are invited to join worshipers for the beginning of worship and leave for Sunday School after the "Time for God's Children," which is a lesson by the Pastor, and general prayers. Following the Lord's Prayer, the youngest of God's children are invited to Sunday School. Sunday School might be cancelled for special events that may take place during worship, but this is rare. We may or may not have Sunday School classes during the summer, but "busy bags" are available for the children if we do not.
